A bit about me!

I've been teaching Middle School language arts at Thorp since 2020. I’ve taught for many years in a variety of roles, but all have related back to two of my passions: writing and literature. I’ve taught Middle School and High School English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Speech, and I’ve run a school library program. I earned my BA in Writing-Intensive English and French from Marquette University. I earned my first Master’s degree in Education from Valparaiso University and my second Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. My husband Tom is a copy editor and writer, and we have 3 energetic and entertaining sons: Sam, Timmy, and Joey. As a family, we spend time reading, building Legos, playing games, watching movies, and making creative crafts together.
