Thorp Families - It is not necessary to call or email the office when your children are not feeling well and will be missing class. Please enter the absence into the Parent Portal (ASPEN) and we will update it in the system.

As a reminder, the teacher parking lot is CLOSED for parents. This is a major safety concern during arrival and dismissal, as staff needs to enter the building. We have received reports of parents getting angry with staff trying to park. Please model appropriate behavior for our children.

The District has launched its annual School Food Survey, which is open through Friday, March 21.

Next Week:

PTA Meeting-Wednesday, February 19, 7:00 virtually via Google Meet (code: thorppta –

must be logged in as your student!)

From the Thorp Library

Hello Thorp Families,

As you might have heard the exciting news, the Thorp Library will be reopening, which means students can visit and check out books--YAY!!!  Also, the school will also be ordering some new books as we evaluate the current collection and we would like your opinion on what books to order.  We are invested in building lifelong readers.  We want to make sure we have books that appeal to students and also introduce them to books they might not be acquainted with.  This is a survey to find out what books students have read and enjoyed along with books they would be interested in reading in the future (or you as parents would be interested in them reading).

Here are the surveys for Parents, Students and Faculty:

Family Library Survey: https://forms.gle/MWRah4cc7eKcFwsM9

Students Library Survey: https://forms.gle/RwWJEUzXTgJjgqvx5

Staff Library Survey: https://forms.gle/Pn2er7GChrNk6NKc8

Thank you!  Ms. Biela (Thorp Library)

P.S. One survey for the whole family is a-okay.  You don't need to fill out one for each child.
