Also, as you are probably already aware, the Office of Access and Enrollment website,www.cpsoae.org, has a tab called “H.S. Info” that has tons of material about the application process, including Frequently Asked Questions, overviews of the process, and a (very) detailed PowerPoint Presentation. This information should be of use to you as you assist students and parents with the application process.
As a reminder, the process for parents to begin scheduling their children for the Selective Enrollment exam, the IB and Military Academies Information Sessions, and the Senn Fine and Performing Arts audition/portfolio review begins September 23rd at 9 a.m. Parents planning to apply online must schedule their children first, and then return to the application site any timebetween October 1st and December 13th to make their school choices and submit their applications. Parents and students have plenty of time to visit school Open Houses and do other research before they actually submit their applications — they do not have to submit their applications on the first day.
