Wednesday, 3/30, we held a candidate forum for prospective LSC Candidates to speak. We know not everyone was able to attend but thanks to one of our parents we’ve been able to share video of the candidate statements. Included below is a video of the candidates’ statements. You can watch all of them in the first video, or check them out individually. Then, vote for up to 5 candidates (from either the community or parent categories) on report card pickup day 4/13, from 6am to 7pm.
The Local School Council is made up of a total of 6 parents, 2 community members, 2 teachers, 1 support staff member, and the principal. As a body its main responsibilities are:
- Approving how school funds and resources are allocated
- Developing and monitoring the annual School Improvement Plan
- Evaluating and selecting the school’s principal
You can read more about LSCs and their duties here.
This first video includes all the candidates. Scroll down to view an individual candidate.
