09/18/2012: Parents, teachers and students the CTU Strike is over.  Students will return to school tomorrow – Wednesday, September 19th. Please be aware of our new Drop-Off Zones for students (See Letter: 09/07/2012). Warwick Ave will be closed to cars during student arrival and dismissal times. Please click Letter: 09-18-2012 for important information about MAP Testing, Picture Day, Lunch Procedures, Open House and more.

09/17/2012: Parents it looks like CPS schools will again be closed on Tuesday. Please keep watching and listening to the news for more information. If your child has internet access please visit the educational resources page that CPS has set up for students at

09/14/2012: It looks like an agreement may be close. But we will have to wait until Sunday to know for sure if school will be open. Click Here for Friday’s Letter.

CTU has informed CPS that its members will not be reporting to schools tomorrow. Thorp Scholastic Academy will be closed. For more information please visit the CPS Children First Site . CPS and CTU are still in negotiations. We will post information as we are able.

    It would be helpful to post dates as well. i.e. School will be closed tomorrow 9/10. This would help avoid confusion. Thank you for keeping us informed.
