8th Grade Graduation Information

8th grade parents, we held a parent meeting on Tuesday, April 6th at 5:00PM to discuss graduation and other activities.

There are still some details that we are waiting to get approved but right now we know that:

The live Graduation Day Ceremony will be Wednesday, June 23rd at 8:30AM on the West Field. The graduation ceremony at school will be in person with students socially distanced and at most four family members who will be lined up in 6×6 squares along the track. (Family members will have to make their own seating arrangements.) The live ceremony will be short with a very brief welcome message followed by the diploma distribution. Students will be called, they will come up to the front of the stage and receive their diploma. We will have professional photographers who will print out graduation photos after the ceremony. Students will sit back down in their seats and then be dismissed to join their families.

A separate space for family photos will be available immediately after the graduation ceremony. Families will also be given the opportunity to purchase the professional photos or take their own. A sign up form with photo times will be distributed via email before the week before the graduation ceremony.

The virtual Graduation Ceremony will take place on YouTube on Friday 06/25 at 7:00PM. The virtual graduation ceremony will be a YouTube Live event where families can watch and comment together. The virtual ceremony will include student speeches, awards, and performances.

Our 8th graders will also have various activities happening the week before graduation. More information will soon follow. If you have any questions please reach out to our Parent Graduation Cmte: Ms. Padilla ( or Ms. Clark ( If you have questions specific to the school please reach out to Mr. Toledo at
