Read, Discover and Create over winter vacation with the Neighborhood Nature Winter Learning Challenge!
Kids and teens ages 3-18 are invited to participate in the Winter Learning Challenge between December 16 – January 5
Start by printing the Winter Learning Challenge Log. You can also pick up a copy at your neighborhood library or use the copy that Mrs. Ruszel is giving to students during library.
Activities for the log are centered around the theme “What happens in winter?” There are 5 topics with activities to choose from. These are linked below:
Children are encouraged to:
READ for 20 minutes a day for at least 5 days
DISCOVER new information by doing 1 activity
CREATE 1 story, poem or piece of artwork
Return the Winter Learning Challenge Log to any Chicago Public Library Branch by January 10, 2014 to be entered in a raffle to win an eReader!
