On Thursday April 10, 2014 the halls of the second floor at Thorp became alive with history. Jackie Robinson, Linus Pauley, Steven Spielberg, Clara Barton, Rosa Parks, Jeff Kinney, Stephen King and Andrew Carnegie were just a few of the visitors to come to Thorp. The Fifth Grade Wax Museum was opened for a very limited engagement. The museum culminates the student’s historical study of a famous American. Researching and writing about people who have made a difference in our lives and then bringing all of that information to fruition as the child becomes that person. This year’s Wax Museum was the best to date. The children went above and beyond in their costumes and posters and even had ABC News do a small segment on their 6:00 news!
