Library Card 2 (5)

CPL Library Card Initiative

Does your child have a Chicago Public Library Card? Is it lost? Never had one?

If your child does not have a CPL Library Card with their very own name on it, NOW is the time to get one!

Mrs. Ruszel is giving students applications for Chicago Public Library (CPL) Cards. Simply complete the form in Blue or Black Ink and return to Mrs. Ruszel in the Thorp Library Media Center (LMC) BEFORE OCTOBER 10th. Both Parent and child need to sign their names.

Mrs. Ruszel will bring all the applications to the Austin-Irving CPL Branch, pick up the NEW LIBRARY CARDS and give them to the students!

Students that have a CPL Card can read magazines on line, electronic books, request titles and use the many databases for research! Students and families can use their Library Card to borrow  free passes to many of the Chicago Museums!

Chicago Public Library Branches provide Free Homework Help in person  and online help through Brain Fuse! But, you need to login with your library card number and zipcode.

Don’t miss out on the fun Read Alouds and Programs available at the different CPL Branches around the city such as Jewlery Making, Story Telling, Sing-alongs, Stories and Crafts and so much more!

To check out these programs just click on the “events” link and choose the Library Branch you wish to visit.
